The idea was from a FO3 mod called Weapon Scanner. What it does is display specific information about the weapon that is not displayed anywhere. The information can be shown in a HUD or access by hitting an assigned hot key (default '.' period key) which displays all the above info minus ammo and condition in a dialog.
