Mystic Light won't control RGB on msi pro z690-A ddr4 motherboard. jpetrovs . July 2022. Just purchased a PowerSpec g439 and all is well except I can't turn off the rainbow RGB. The Windows10 unit came preinstalled with mystic light as a stand alone app and it showed all three RGB headers (if that's the right term) but when I select LED style

There is a program called MsiCentreUninstaller. Run that to remove everything MSI Centre installed. Now Install the latest version, MSI Center 2.0.6.0 That should get your components recognized. You may need to plug the desired lighting component directly into the ARGB/RGB/JRainbow header. One sec. Shut down -> flick led switch on motherboard to off -> boot up -> enter desktop -> open mystic light -> set rgb off (or make change)-> turn off PC -> turn off power supply -> unplug power cord for couple minutes -> flick led switch on mobo to on -> plug power cable back in -> turn on PSU -> boot up PC and it should be fixed. Not sure Paperdoc said: I agree with popatim. If you have any questions about how to connect the front case fans' ARGB lighting cables to a mobo ARGB header, post here the maker and exact model number of your mobo. If you have only one ARGB header to use, you will need a THREE-pin ARGB Splitter to connect both fans' cables to a single header. Not yet (if ever) with iCue. Asus gear will integrate with iCue though. I have to run MSI Center to handle mobo and GPU RGB, plus iCue for everything else. It may take time to get a response depending on current developer resources, Devices not matching an existing supported device should instead be requested on our website. My RGB RAM isn't detected If running as administrator doesn't help you should Update Your Firmware and Chipset Drivers.
After restarting my system and launching MSI Center there are now many more modules to install including Mystic Light. I am now able to independently control the RGB on 3090 TI Suprim X via MSI Center. Have not yet figured out how to synchronize the GPU rgb with motherboard or fans, if thatโ€™s even possible, only independent control so far.
Things I have tried which don't work. 1. Clean windows reinstallation. 2. Unplugging PC and Clearing CMOS and Loading Optimized Defaults. 3. Shorting JT1 4th and 5th Pin while keeping PC On. Saw it in a thread where it worked. Just wanted to avoid RMA as I can't teardown the PC because I need it for my classes due to Covid. Everything lights up but it just won't show them in mystic light, I can only see my gpu and ram. I'm almost certain I have everything set up correctly. The motherboard is 100% installed correctly. I have the cooler connected to the cpu fan header and the pump header with lighting cables daisy chained and connected to the jrainbow. 6Z2SU.
