Big mistake. I have run for 34 years and thought INOV-8 was the best shoe yet after trying almost all others, but the precision fit is terrible unless you have a very narrow foot. So get this shoe while it lasts as it is being discontinued. If INOV-8 does not continue to offer a standard fit shoe they will have lost a customer.
The traction is absolutely fantastic, they are light, responsive, yet cushioned and very comfortable. I haven't tried the lighter Inov8 shoes (Talon and so on) since I am really not used to minimal shoes (used to road running with asics nimbus) but these are really a fantastic compromis between light trail shoes and road running shoes.

Details. Featuring a graphene-enhanced rubber outsole, the men's TRAILROC G 280 delivers the world’s toughest grip over hard and rocky terrain. With increased protection both underfoot and around the toes, as well as added comfort and cushioning, this shoe offers the ultimate package for those running all distances over technical hard-packed

I love trying new training shoes – almost as much as I love trying to figure out the best squat racks or thebest air bikes. There has been some buzz recently about the inov-8 F-LITE G 300s, which are marketed as a cross training shoe. After recently trying the Nike Free Metcon 4s, the Reebok Nano X1s, and the NOBULL Trainers I wanted to see how they stacked up.For this inov-8 F-LITE G 300
The Inov-8 F-Lite 235 V3 is the perfect example of a cross-training shoe that takes a different approach to performance. I’m a fan of the Inov-8 F-Lite 235 V3s for a variety of reasons. They’re stable enough for heavy lifting and also versatile enough to use for things like casual trail runs. On top of this, I like the Inov-8 F-Lite 235 V3 These have slightly more foot padding than their sister shoe – the ultra light 195s – but otherwise are the same. The 230s are made very simply with a breathable mesh body and a half of an inch of flexible sole. The heel of the sole is considerably more solid than the arch and toe area, allowing for a considerable amount of flex.

Inov-8 says the new and updated version of the popular Ultra 260 X-Talon trail running shoe now comes with an ‘improved fit and locked-in feel’, with the tongue in particular benefitting from a slimmed down design. Here tester Graham puts the Talon to the test over muddy and wet fells during the British winter….
